Circa £35,000 + £6k car allowance

12 month fixed term contract (maternity cover)

A UK leading provider of medical engineering maintenance services are seeking an experienced medical/biomedical engineer with exposure to working on a range of medical equipment, to cover maternity leave for 12 months.

They are highly regarded specialists in their industry offering services to a vast range of clients such as the NHS, Emergency and Rescue and the private healthcare sector.

Job outline:

The role will be to cover 4 sites across the West/North West London area and will be a 12 month fixed term contracting covering maternity leave.

As the field medical engineer, you would be required to carry out service, maintenance, repair and fault finding on a range of low to high risk medical equipment such as anaesthesia machines, ventilators, infusion devices, syringe drivers, defibrillators, ECG's, patient monitors, pulse oximeters etc. In-house training can be provided where required.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) on medical equipment as per manufacturer's guidelines

  • Complete repairs as required on medical equipment as per manufacturer's guidelines

  • Complete all associated administrative work

  • Provide customer support when required

  • Maintain service documentation

  • Maintain tools and test equipment

  • Maintain safe working practices within the hospital environment


Experience/skills required:

  • Prior experience as a EBME Engineer, Medical Engineer, Biomedical Engineer or Field Service Engineer, repairing low, medium or high risk medical devices. E.g. any of the following infusion devices, syringe drivers, defibrillators, ECG's, patient monitors, pulse oximeters, diathermy etc.

  • Good communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team


Package/benefits:

  • Circa £35,000

  • £6,000 car allowance

  • 37.5 hrs per week with flex start and finish (Could be on the road Mon-Thurs and at home on a Friday completing administration work, manage your own work load/diary)
