The company:

A leading, reputable provider of medical engineering services is seeking a site-based Biomedical Engineer to work within the EBME department of a busy NHS hospital in London.

Job outline:

As a Medical Engineer, you would be required to carry out service, maintenance, repair and fault finding on a range of low to high risk medical equipment such as anaesthesia machines, ventilators, infusion devices, syringe drivers, defibrillators, ECG's, patient monitors, pulse oximeters etc. In-house and OEM training can be provided where required.

This role will cover various sites within the London area.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) on medical equipment as per manufacturer's guidelines

  • Complete repairs as required on medical equipment as per manufacturer's guidelines

  • Complete all associated administrative work

  • Provide customer support when required

  • Maintain service documentation

  • Maintain tools and test equipment

  • Maintain safe working practices within the hospital environment


Experience/skills required:

  • Prior experience as a EBME Engineer, Medical Engineer, Biomedical Engineer or Field Service Engineer, repairing low to medium/high risk medical devices.

  • Good communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
