£25,000 - £30,000 basic
Based in Southend-on-Sea
A UK leading provider of medical engineering maintenance services are seeking a medical/biomedical engineer. They are seeking either a grad with some experience (placement/intern) or a junior engineer with exposure to medical devices.
The company are highly regarded specialists in their industry offering services to a vast range of clients such as the NHS, Emergency and Rescue and the private healthcare sector.
The role - Junior Biomedical Engineer - Medical Devices:
As the medical repair technician, you will be responsible for on-site repair, preventative maintenance, and asset management of medical devices for specified hospital contracts.
Key accountabilities - Junior Biomedical Technician - Medical Devices:
+ Maintenance and repair of electro medical devices
+ Achieve contract KPI's by working with and supporting the Biomedical Site Manager
+ Complete all associated administrative work in completing repairs and preventative maintenance as outlined by company procedures
+ Ensure minimal disruption to the operation of electro-med contracts by supporting customers
+ Sourcing of repair parts and suppliers ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained
+ Train or arrange training for engineers and assist them in carrying out their duties
+ Build long-term customer relationships, subcontractors, and staff to ensure effective responsiveness and excellent customer service
+ Occasional travel to customer sites as and when required to support the field service engineers
+ Perform schedule preventative maintenance of medical equipment as per manufacturers or company guidelines
Experience/qualifications required:
+ Degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering with some exposure working in a hospital on medical devices/equipment (Intern or Placement)
OR
+ Experience carrying out repair work on medical equipment with a qualification in Electronics/Electrical Engineering
Package/benefits:
+ £25,000 - £30,000
+ Discretionary bonus (not in contract, not guaranteed).
+ Paid overtime for pre-agreed work.

+ OEM training and Full CPD - training scheme for all joiners however this has been on hold during COVID
+ Working Hours are Mon-Fri - 8.30am - 5pm on site (flex to start and finish early/later)
