The UK's leading independent control system specialist in HVAC and building services are looking for an experienced Small Works Project Engineer to help achieve the most profitable control of project delivery for all small works sites.

Due to the expansion of the company along with the increased demand for business, we are looking for a Small Works Project Engineer office based with site attendance as necessary.

Small Works Project Engineer key roles and responsibilities:

  • Successfully deliver control system small works projects to the client's full satisfaction within budget.

  • Carry out the organisational requirements of each job, seeking the relevant and necessary information and organise the resources/equipment as required.

  • Continually monitor the job from inception to completion.

  • Make sure all information is accurately reported in the software and easily accessible.

  • Following through with engineer reports and forwarding them to the client it a timely manner.

  • Reporting to the General Manager on a Daily/Weekly/Monthly basis.

  • Complete other ad-hoc administrative as requested by managers and directors.

  • Liaise with finance to ensure all subcontractor invoices are approved and signed off.

Small Works Project Engineer will need the following skills and experience:

  • To be able to fully understand the design requirements of each job, for example Control Panel Drawings, Control Valve/Meter selection schedules, Des of Ops, DDC strategy and Graphic Details.

  • Carry out system commissioning to include field wiring checks and motor rotations, control panel adjustments such as fuse rating checks and overload settings, and carry out full control circuit functional tests and controller performance.

  • High level of computer literacy skills.

  • Undergo training as required by the company and display the ability to learn.

  • Efficient time management and prioritisation of certain tasks.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Significant experience required.

  • Multi-disciplined and capable of undertaking all aspects of delivering a control system project.
