  • £42,000 - £55,000 + Excellent benefits

A global aerospace and defence organisation are seeking a Business Analyst to work on the latest generation of complex state of the art UK submarines.

Giving you the opportunity to contribute to the latest submarine programme, at the forefront of pioneering technologies working alongside a number of highly skilled professionals.

Your main responsibilities as an IM&T - Business Analyst

  • Working as part of a ring-fenced team supporting the full IM&T lifecycle
  • Analysing high-level capability needs, to inform the Programme IM&T Investment Roadmap. The role will also require flexibility to capture requirements at a more detailed level as projects progress and the build programme matures
  • Working with a range of other functions and stakeholders on the fastest growing programme in the business. The role will provide you with a wide range of career opportunities as part of the IM&T job
  • Documenting, and interpreting business capabilities, across a wide range of teams
  • Facilitating meetings with clients to gather and document requirements, and with the IM&T Architecture team to progress to solution options
  • Leading business analysis work streams to deliver business requirements outputs and/or process documentation across a variety of initiatives and projects, including:
  • Updates to an IM&T Investment roadmap to provide visibility of future business needs
  • Producing functional and non-functional requirements
  • Capturing conceptual data and process models
  • Managing requirements traceability to confirm that all client requirements are incorporated into the design and test schedules

Your skills and qualifications:

  • Business Analysis experience within an IT Project or related workstream
  • Ability to work with a wide range of senior stakeholders
  • Understanding of full life-cycle IT design and delivery process
  • A good knowledge of Microsoft office suite (including Visio)
  • An understanding of waterfall / agile methodology

Desirable:

  • ISEB or BCS or IIBA BA diploma certification.
  • Process Modelling or Requirements Engineering training certification
  • Experience of working in an Engineering environment
