Job Description
looking for or a Business Architect contractor to join our Capability team. Initially for a fixed term of 6 months to develop and deliver the 'As Is' Business Architecture, however, there is a possibility to extend the position beyond 6 months to develop the 'To Be' and to implement this.
What you will do:
Provide a description of the current structure and interaction between the business strategy, functions, business processes and information needs.
Promote a (i.e. NAF) methodology to capture the different types of architecture and the architectural lifecycle
Describe the current service, data and product architecture and lifecycle thereof
Identify all stakeholders and how they interact with our services and product architectures
Elicit all stakeholder concerns
Provide the architectural viewpoints that describe the current 'as is'
Provide dashboard / modelling input / tooling to enable all stakeholders to interact with the business architectural viewpoints
Select the most appropriate cost effective tools to do the job
Provide appropriate configuration management of the models
Capture the CS3 tactical and strategic goals, ensure traceability through the line of business, and map to metrics to provide ongoing governance.
Essential Skills
Prior experience as either an enterprise architect or a business architect etc.
Experience of using either TOGAF 9.3 or NAF V3
Experience capturing 'as is' architectures / operating models
Familiarity with architectural frameworks
Knowledge of ISO42010:2011
Experience of managing complexity
Experience of creating viewpoints that have a specific purpose
Presenting to technical and non-technical audiences and ensure full understanding at various levels
Experience using model-based representations that can be adjusted as required to collect, aggregate or disaggregate complex and conflicting information about the business
The ability to visualise and create high-level models that can be used in communication and future analysis to extend and mature the business architecture
Experience in modelling business capabilities and processes using a variety of tools and techniques
Experience in the defence sector
Knowledge about defence support contracts
