Business Development Manager - UK & EU - Industrial Engineering - West Midlands

Salary: £35000 - £50000 per annum + bonus

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Devise and implement the strategy for meeting sales performance targets in the Industrial sector
  • Identify and prospect for potential new customers to ensure a pipeline of business opportunities and convert this to increased orders
  • Grow, maintain and leverage the existing and new customer network by developing good relationships with key decision makers
  • Create, negotiate and close commercial agreements
  • Work productively with the support team to develop proposals that meet and where possible exceed the customers' needs, concerns and objectives
  • Work with technical and other internal colleagues to provide customer solutions
  • Forecast sales targets, track and record activity on accounts and close deals to meet targets

For this role, ideally you will have:

  • Relevant Business Development Manager experience in industrial/ aerospace / defence / automotive engineering - 3-5 years min
  • Background in manufacturing (preferably moulding, stamping, die-casting) - Ideal but not necessary
  • Track record of winning new business, increasing revenue through lead generation, meeting and exceeding targets
  • Experience of European sales desirable but not essential - Ideal but not necessary

A market leading manufacturing company operating within the Precision Pressing & Stampings industry are now looking for a Business Development Manager to join their Sales & Operations team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Business Development Manager with an engineering / technical background to join a rapidly company with fantastic career prospects in place!

You will be generating European sales prospects for the Industrial sector to the company through lead generation from potential and existing customers and planning persuasive approaches and pitches that will convince potential and existing customers to place new business with the company.
