Our client, a leading Defence organisation who specialise in protection solutions are currently recruiting for a Buyer on an permanent basis. Within this position you'll be responsible for cost, time and quality of services and goods for multi-million Defence programmes.

Your duties

• Manage Project budgets
• Create Bill of Materials
• Main point of contact for managing procurement dependencies
• Management of key suppliers and Subcontracts
• Support in winning new business
• Adhoc duties as and when required

Experience / Skills required

• Engineering/Manufacturing background preferably Automotive
• Strong negotiation skills
• Used ERP systems eg SAP or similar
• Proficient in cost estimating
• Able to obtain SC level security clearance
