An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Buyer to work for an global company manufacturing high tech complex capital equipment. Working in their busy Procurement department you will have some experience of an engineering environment preferably with buying experience of raw materials ideally electronic components. You will benefit from working for an industry leader and being part of a focussed and highly successful team that continues to grow thanks to its award winning product range.

The buyer will be responsible for reviewing and analysing purchase requistions, corodinate purchasing, process purchasing and work with suppliers whilst performing cost analysis and volume planning.

Your responsibilities will include:

+ Manage vendor base to obtain best price and best lead times through negotiations

+ Purchase components for production requirements

+ Gather quotations, examine bids and make awards.

+ Monitor cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value. Evaluate vendor reliability and develop new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are no longer competitive.

As a Buyer working in the Engineering sector you will be able to showcase:

+ Experience in procurement / supply chain processes

+ Experience in supplier relationship management, performance monitoring and contractual obligations

+ Excellent IT skills

+ Ideally member of CIPS
