We are currently recruiting a Buyer on behalf of our client who has over 100 years of experience within the Maritime industry. You'll be responsible for sourcing and scheduling materials from specialist suppliers and providing support to the Supply Chain.

Your Responsibilities:

• Simplifying the supply chain process

• Be responsible for the direct and indirect sourcing and managing the process

• Ensuring purchases maintain a good quality standards

• Drive continuous improvement and deliver cost savings to the business

• Supply chain management such as demand forecasting, order promising, materials sourcing, production control, distribution planning, scheduling and inventory management

• Meeting customer demand across product lines

• Conduct supplier negotiations

Skills / Experience required:

• Previous Supply Chain / Procurement experience working with Electro-mechanical products

• Engineering / manufacturing background ideally from Defence or marine

• Knowledge of material requirement planning and management

• Experience with supplier cost management techniques

• Able to obtain SC security clearance
