£40,000 - £45,000 with 10% bonus

A leading design manufacturing company who specialises in electronic safety systems for the Automotive industry are in need of Buyer to join their growing purchasing team. This role has come from my client's growth and increase in demand for their products. This role would be perfect for someone with a few years' experience with the willingness to grow and develop their career and push up the career ladder.

The Responsibilities - Buyer - Kent

• Researching and sourcing new vendors and subcontract manufacturers
• Manage the vendors from start to finish of the purchasing lifecycle
• Support subsidiaries by purchasing different stock and parts
• Drive and build relationships with suppliers
• Lead pricing negotiations
• Provide detailed forecasts for suppliers
• Identify obsolete and replacement parts
• Place purchase orders and check and sign off purchase invoices
• Drive cost reduction
• Manager stock related enquiries

Key Skills/Experience - Buyer - Kent

• Degree qualified or similar in a related discipline
• At least 3 years' experience in purchasing, materials management, and supply chain.
• Good understanding of ERP Systems
• Experience with long lead times
• Strong communication skills (Building & sustaining supplier relationships)
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Far east Asia supplier experience
• Desirable Electronics and automotive industry experience
