Our Client a design and technical specialist based in Croydon, Surrey who are market leaders in their field of work are looking to expand and grow their team based on their huge success and growth over the last 16 years. They are looking for an experienced CAD/Revit Manager.

Job Role

Management of CAD / REVIT team and production and management of REVIT 3D BIM & 2D CAD drawings. Be an expert in CAD/REVIT/BIM technology and protocols. Provide management of the REVIT/CAD/BIM resources. Ie. REVIT/CAD technicians. Manage and prioritise workload with appropriate levels of response. Liaise with other staff members to agree workloads and programmes. Ensure consistent technical and drawing quality and standards, undertaking clash detection and delivering drawings to agreed delivery deadlines and BIM Execution plans. Understand, drive and develop innovation to keep up with industry standards ie. clash detection, BIM information modelling etc. Mentor and assist in development of other members of CAD/REVIT Team.Management of CAD / REVIT team and production and management of REVIT 3D BIM & 2D CAD drawings. Responsibilities

- Manage project CAD/ Revit 3D BIM drawing delivery, agree scope with the engineer and carry out CAD/BIM drawing work.

- Monitor resource levels, by assessing the engineering group CAD requirements and agree with project teams/managers.

- Motivate yourself and manage staff within group to build coherent high performing teams. Set objectives, monitor performance, coach and develop staff to optimise their potential.

- Maintain CAD/BIM standards and standard drawing configurations.

- Report weekly and monthly CAD personnel requirements to the Project Director.

- Monitor contract staff or third party appointments.

- Check regular media back up to ensure resilience of REVIT/CAD drawing data across projects.

- Complete drawing issue sheets on behalf of engineers as necessary.

- Develop and maintain CAD layering standards / REVIT/CAD Library & BIM protocols.

- Maintain hardware and software requirements, including disposables, ie, paper and ink etc. for the CAD department.

- Liaise with external design teams as necessary.

- Carry out Project Archiving on completed projects.

- Implement management and administration systems (Rapport - timesheets/expenses etc), co-ordinate holiday leave within Directors.

- Carry out staff appraisals in accordance with QA. Report any staff performance problems to Project

- Director, and agree corrective action.

Identify and implement all training/CPD requirements of staff within their group.

- Implement and manage QA systems and procedures on all projects.

- Research and development REVIT/BIM techniques and standards to keep ahead of industry standards and general innovation movements in the market place.

Experience and Qualifications

- Excellent presentation skills.

- AutoCAD Revit 3D BIM qualified.

- Thorough knowledge of industry requirements.

- Track, monitor and implement international CAD standards.

- Understanding and use BIM within design team.

- An engineering technician background would be beneficial to this role
