Cell Leader - Engineering Finishing Dept

A leading engineering company are now offering an opportunity to join their team on a permanent basis overseeing their Finishing cell within detailed final assembly of complex products, ensuring that output/production targets are achieved through efficient deployment.

Key responsibilities;

+ Monitor, and allocate work as determined by production control in order to maximise throughput.

+ Communicate and monitor team performance against KPI/metrics, e.g. shortages, spares orders, deliveries and priorities daily

+ Manage and mentor 15 reports on daily basis

+ Undertake COSHH assessments and safe systems of work in line with company policy

+ Raise reject Notifications and assist in the correction of defects.

+ Monitor inspection documents for accuracy & completion & provide its final certification.

+ Participate & manage 5S business improvement activities within the department.

Experience required;

+ People management experience is essential

+ To be successful in this role you will need significant experience within engineering and manufacturing organisations

+ Good experience of modern manufacturing techniques i.e. Lean manufacturing

+ HND / HNC in an engineering or manufacturing discipline

You must be able to obtain security clearance in this position.
