Cell Leader - Engineering Packaging & Shipping Dept.

A world leader and renowned engineering company are now offering an opportunity to join their team on a permanent basis as an Assembly Operative within their detailed final assembly division. This role enables you to work for a household name who continues to do valuable work and save lives whilst allowing you to join a company with a growing order book offering high levels of job security.

Key responsibilities;

+ Monitor, and allocate work as determined by production control in order to maximise throughput.

+ Communicate and monitor team performance against KPI/metrics, e.g. shortages, spares orders, deliveries and priorities daily

+ Manage and mentor 15 reports on daily basis

+ Undertake COSHH assessments and safe systems of work in line with company policy

+ Raise reject Notifications and assist in the correction of defects.

+ Monitor inspection documents for accuracy & completion & provide its final certification.

+ Participate & manage 5S business improvement activities within the department.

Experience required;

+ People management experience is essential

+ To be successful in this role you will need significant experience within engineering and manufacturing organisations

+ Good experience of modern manufacturing techniques i.e. Lean manufacturing

+ Knowledge of chemical safety aspects

+ HND / HNC in an engineering or manufacturing discipline

You must be able to obtain security clearance in this position.
