Job Role: Cloud Development Engineer

Location: Remote (Access to Hampshire as the role develops)

Contract: 6 months+

Rate: £600 per day inside ir35

Security Clearance at SC level is required for this role as well as NPPV Level 3

I am recruiting a Cloud Development Engineer for a client of mine who operate within the government and defence sector. You will be part of a cloud development team able to develop, support and maintain a system of critical national infrastructure adhering to Engineering governance/best practice.

Highly technical in nature, you will need strong knowledge and experience with a view to maintaining and developing cloud infrastructure, applications or components in the development, test and live environments

Must have

• System/Software design experience
• Software development experience in one or more of the following

• High level languages: Python, Java, C/C+, etc.
• IaC languages Terraform, Ansible, etc.

• System/Software test experience (ideally test automation)
• Configuration management tooling experience
• Working in an agile environment

Nice to have

• Previous experience of DevOps and build pipelines.
• Cloud infrastructure: AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
• Virtualisation: HyperV or VMWare
• IAM / AAA
• Secrets Management and cryptography
• Security Management
• Service Management
• Networking
