Commercial Assistant

Job Title: Commercial Assistant

  • 6 Months Initial Contract

  • 40 hours per week plus travel

  • Based in Southwark London

  • £25p/h (Ltd basis)

Our client are an Energy and Building Management System Specialist, they as a company are well established in the BMS industry. Our client are looking to utilise the services of a new Commercial Assistant who will help assist the Senior Quantity Surveyor in delivering results on a major capital project in London.

Commercial Assistant key roles and responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing flow of information to ensure compliance with program and contract commitments.

  • Assist in preparation for contractual correspondence like applications, early warning notices, delay notices, timesheets and notices for compensation events.

  • Working closely with the Senior Quantity Surveyor.

  • Assist in preparation of job costing reports, forecasts and cash flows.

  • Assist in managing the register for all commercial documents.

  • Making sure all Health and Safety procedures/standards are met.

  • Working on projects in a timely and effective manner.

  • Assist in maintenance of accurate bill of quantities showing costs incurred, committed costs, forecast costs and associated variances.

Commercial Assistant will need the following essential skills and experience:

  • Fluency in Microsoft Office and Excel.

  • Strong Numeracy Skills.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Promotes teamwork and diversity.

  • Ability to deal and interact with multiple stakeholders.

  • Demonstrates growth and customer focus.

  • Degree or diploma qualification desired in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, Economics or Building Services. (Not a Necessity).
