As a Commercial Officer you will be joining a dynamic team that supports the delivery of transformative technology across a diverse global portfolio of military and commercial customers.
The Commercial function is the trusted partner of the business; managing customer relationships, negotiating deals, creating innovative solutions, and providing guidance on contractual, legal, regulatory and governance matters.
You will have the opportunity to attain professional accreditations, rotate into other business roles and move up through the professional and executive grade. In addition to your challenging day to day role, employees are encouraged to pursue special projects, participate in mentoring programmes and networking events, rotate into different positions with increasing levels of responsibility, and engage with the local community in which we work.
In the role of Commercial Officer your main responsibilities will involve:
Taking a leading role in the generation of routine quotations
Participate in customer negotiations and facilitate successful contract delivery in line with established policies and requirements Interpreting and communicating customer requirements
Understand the structure of a contract and can identify and communicate contractual risks and opportunities
Your skills and qualifications:
Able to interpret and communicate customer requirements
Awareness of basic business acumen
Understanding of project scope and experience of negotiating changes within a contract
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Awareness of the aspects of the Law that affect the activities of the business
Familiar with typical internal governance requirements
Understand a variety of contract/agreement types such as Non-Disclosure Agreements
Worked within in the Aerospace or comparable industry (e.g. Defence, Space, Rail, Energy, IT)
