Control Systems Engineer - Electric Drive

You'll be specifying, designing, engineering, and delivering Electric Drive Control systems from concept to production. EDC includes areas of software/ control systems in the Electric Drive Supervisory Unit, and other components such as DC/DC converter, chargers, and other ECUs.
Key responsibilities -
+ Ownership of part of the Electric Drive Control (EDC), taking responsibility for planning, simulation, supplier management, and delivery
+ Working with Powertrain CAE group to develop, verify, and validate electric drive architecture and components
+ Supporting EDC delivery to all vehicle projects, and ensuring delivery of ISO 26262 requirements and platform software at all phases of programme
+ Working with supply chain management to ensure EDC readiness for all phases of prototype, pre-production, and production
+ Electric drive specification through DOORS to specify control requirements for the HSU, BMS, MCU, and other components
+ Supporting preparation and presentation of material for external and internal project reviews
+ Supporting vehicle build and development where required
Knowledge, skills & experience-
+ Knowledge/ experience of control system design, test, production
+ Awareness of, or experience with embedded systems (such as Battery Management Systems (BMS), Motor Control Unit (MCU), Electric Drive Unit (EDSU), Grid Charging Control, DC/DC, functional safety)
