Data Centre Network Architect
Role Type: 3 Months+
IR35 Scope: Outside IR35
Pay: £600 - £650 pay
Location: Remote with occasional travel to Swindon
For this specific role our client is looking for an exceptional technical leader and expert for their customer engagements around Juniper's automated data centre fabric technologies, primarily based upon EVPN/VXLAN overlay and IP underlay.
You will have an in-depth knowledge and hands on expertise with Juniper's data centre products and solutions, as well as 3rd party technologies & solutions which complement Juniper's data centre deployments.
Critical to this is your experience with Juniper Apstra fabric management, from initial proof of concept, through to design and deployment, this in conjunction with your ability to demonstrate to customers the operational benefits of Apstra automation managing the data centre fabric on a day-to-day basis.
Duties
Provide Technical leadership managing the end-to-end delivery of a data centre solution from customer requirements gathering, through to the production of supporting technical artefacts and execution of the implementation and customer acceptance testing.
Essential skills
A proven track record in designing and deploying data centre architectures including EVPN/VXLAN, CLOS fabrics, and underlay designs using Apstra as a fabric management platform.
Experience in implementing such architecture with Juniper product knowledge.
Excellent knowledge of network management, service provisioning, automation, network monitoring and telemetry interfaces and how these apply to modern data centre / Private Cloud environments and customer requirements.
Experience with Juniper QFX51XX switching and MX routing platforms within a data centre environment.
Production of artefacts/documentation to support the end-to-end delivery lifecycle of a client solution:
- Requirements Capture.
- High Level Design.
- Low Level Design.
- Network Implementation Plan.
- Network Acceptance Testing & Reporting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- JNCIA-DC or equivalent experience
