£180 per day

Job Dimensions Deliver key elements of our All IP migration programme related to closing legacy networks and exchanges. Delivery of project(s) on time, within budget and to agreed milestones.

What I'll be doing - your accountabilities Skills required for the job
* Accountable for supporting the delivery of project(s), that are medium in size that represent significant benefit / risk to our customers. The delivery will be highly visible and recognisable.
* Responsible for supporting the PM with the management of network and exchange closures where we will be migrating customers from non IP products & services to new IP based products & services
* Working with the Exchange Planning and Scheduling managers to build and then onward manage the migrations and dealing with all exceptions that occur
* Working with Openreach to support their exchange closure programme through the prioritisation of exchanges and closure dates.
* Working with account teams to help identify and drive customer orders to be placed for new IP services, and then drive the cease of the legacy non IP service that has been replaced.
* Act as a customer champion. Establishes customer needs, uses operational and technical expertise to deliver brilliant experiences by resolving customer issues and delivery quality and timeliness. Understanding the customer business context and the impacts the programme has on successful business outcomes
* Responsible for delivering projects to contracted service levels.
* Responsible for setting / agreeing a significant delivery budget and ensuring that costs do not exceed this.
* Accountable for customer satisfaction associated with delivery.
* Accountable for identifying and managing changes in scope - ensuring the appropriate governance is applied.
* Accountable for building a comprehensive governance structure with relevant customers, client service managers account team and the programme team. Taking responsibility for leading the development of the appropriate plans and controls to ensure successful delivery.
* Accountable for ensuring that the solution (and other deliverables) are of the right quality and accepted by the customer.
* Accountable for ensuring that defined methodologies, processes and tools are consistently applied across the projects in scope, in-line with the overall standards set by the PMO.
* Manages project risk for BT and customers with an ability to use and adapt recognised project management methods and processes depending on elements of the risk profile and governance needs.
* Ensures the PMO and resourcing functions have clear line of sight of upcoming demand and contract requirements.
* Works in collaboration with the Client Services teams to ensure consistent delivery to customers.
* Provide direction to the team on requirements, scope, timescale, cost constraints and quality expectations.
* Accountable for mobilising the project, programme or portfolio.
* Good project management skills with experience of delivering solutions to Enterprise customers
* Able to engage with a wide variety of stakeholders (Senior Management level) to collaborate and carry out the functions of the role.

* Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills. Microsoft Project skills also desirable but not essential
* Expected to have attained an advanced project management qualification - Prince 2 Practitioner, MSP, APM RPP etc.

* Experience as a Project Manager, delivering complex solutions. The value of delivery (Not contract) will typically have been between £1 Million and £15 Million but this should not be viewed as the deciding dimension of this role versus others.
* Experience of delivering a range of IT and network technology. Ideally this should be in a range of industry sectors.
* Expected to have attained a project management qualification - Prince 2, MSP, APM RPP etc.
* Working with customers at Senior Management roles (i.e. IT Manager, Programme Manager etc.).
* Financial tracking and management of a large projects.
* Creating Stakeholder management and Communication Plans.
* Manging risk.
* Knocking down internal barriers and issues that exist in other parts of the business.
* Building and managing virtual delivery teams.
* Experience of producing accurate and timely management information to support decision making.

* Owns decisions relating to the structure of the delivery organisation
* Owns the legacy networks and exchanges for closure and the prioritisation of migrations.
* Owns decisions on delivery estimates.
* Where not mandated by the contract, they will own decisions relating to programme delivery governance.
* Owns decisions on the way that the programme is reported from a health perspective (BRAG owner)
