This role is initially as part of a proposal team then moving into design, build and deliver.
The Desktop Architect will develop high level designs and low level designs for a solution that meets all customer requirements. Responsibilities include
Working with as part of a client facing bid team to design modern desktop management solutions using Windows 10
Analysing client business, communication and functional objectives to develop a solution that enhances the client experience
Providing leadership and knowledge to clients in technical qualification
Documenting customer requirements and developing high level designs / low level designs
Articulating the value proposition of the developed solution
Windows 10 deployment strategy and Design for Windows 10 Operating Systems Deployment Scenario(s)
Windows 10 migration and maintenance strategy
Experience with design and deployment of solutions with SCCM / Workspace One / Intune
Familiar with cost benefit design trade-offs for different management policies, i.e. modern management vs SCCM
Experience in application packaging and software distribution
Experience with enterprise level transition of end user devices from Windows 7 and 8 to 10.
Expert in writing and maintaining GPOs and in support of active directory within an enterprise environment
Experience with enterprise level image management.
Experience with enterprise level application packaging.
Device compliance monitoring and reporting experience
Security Patch management:
Cloud App Security
Windows Desktop Deployment and Management experience
Background in Windows Server including: IaaS, PKI, Active Directory and SQL
Active directory design
Design new GPO / GPP Structures to meet client security requirements
VDI experience - VMware Horizon / Citrix
VDI image management / desktop management / patch management
Persistent / Non-persistent VDI
VDI Apps layering
System administration skills - Microsoft based, Active Directory services and Group Policy Objects, Scripting knowledge (PowerShell, VB)
Knowledge of software distribution tools (SCCM, InTune, Workspace One)
Understanding of patch management tools such as WSUS
Knowledge of Windows 10
Understanding of technologies - cloud, networking, virtualization, storage, data protection and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, Microsoft Office.
