Desktop Support Engineer
Our client a Global Defence organisation are currently looking to hire a Desktop Support Engineer to answer queries and resolve technical issues involving computer hardware, software, network and telecommunications systems.
Provide help desk and technical support services. Ensuring that all requests from users are logged, updated and closed in line with SLA's
Install, configure and deploy computer system hardware and software
Install, configure, maintenance, and troubleshooting of hardware, software and peripheral devices.
Administer and maintain user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
Support the Network and Server teams to ensure that the appropriate patches, hot fixes, and service packs are installed in a timely manner.
Assist Network and Server administrators with scheduled maintenance, network improvements, upgrades and repairs.
Asset management for IT hardware, software, and equipment.
Assist with the Identification and resolution of any potential security breaches / vulnerability
Provide technical, operational and training support for all computer related equipment, peripherals, accessories and components.
Research and evaluate new software and hardware technologies which could enhance the computer system.
Provide on-call technical support
