Desktop Support Engineer - Oxfordshire

Salary: £40000 - £45000 per annum + Bonus, Pension

A Senior Desktop Systems Engineer is required to join a global information business who are implementing advanced End User Computing technology across their business.


Role: Senior Desktop Systems Engineer

As Senior Desktop Systems Engineer you will be required to:

+ Participating in a team of expert engineers and execute against a global strategy to deliver a flexible and dynamic workplace experience
+ Assessing, designing, piloting and implementing End User Computing technologies in alignment with architecture principles and standards
+ Taking a 'cloud first' approach, to reduce costs and improve business agility
+ Accountable for all desktop operating systems and applications

Experience:

As Senior Desktop Systems Engineer you will have experience of:

+ Degree qualified or equivalent in a relevant technical discipline

+ Experience of delivering a global Windows 10 desktop platform, including management of corporate images and adherence to security standards
+ Experience of designing and implementing Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) platforms and preferably cloud-based Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS)
+ Experience of Microsoft technologies (Active Directory, GPO, DNS, DHCP, WINS, LDAP, Kerberos)
+ Experience of integrating large heterogeneous environments that include Windows and OS X file systems, desktops, laptops and mobile devices
+ Working knowledge of O365
+ Experience of public and private cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS
