Desktop Support

As a member of the Desktop Service Technical Specialist Team, you will be responsible for supporting the various systems within the remit of the Enterprise Desktop Service. Including completing monthly routine tasks such as Patch and image cycles and routine releases such as Group Policy changes.

Providing 3rd line technical support and troubleshooting of incidents and issues escalated to the Desktop Service for resolution. Assisting Project driven or Service Improvement activates, such as complete small systems design, image designs, MECM and MDT implementations and other general technical activities.


Excellent knowledge of Windows 10 Desktop Imaging
- Good knowledge of Windows Lockdown using Group Policy to NSCS/Microsoft SCM Levels

- Good knowledge of Microsoft System Centre Configuration Centre Current Branch,

Implementation and Support, including OS Deployment, Application Deployment,

Patching and Endpoint Protection
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Deployment Toolkit for small system OS Deployments
- Good Knowledge of Active Directory Group Policy Objects, including Applocker and

Firewall Implementations.
- Excellent knowledge of Troubleshooting using SysInternals tools such as ProcMon and

- Good Knowledge of Citrix Virtualisation for Desktops and Applications
- Experience with Application Virtualisation (App-V)
- Experience with User Environment Virtualisation (UE-V)
