A Solution Build Lead (Infrastructure build team leader) is required for an Operating System upgrade (Windows 7 to Windows 10) on a Command & Control infrastructure, operating under an Agile Sprint regime. The Solution Build Lead will design & implement application software solutions integrated into the core infrastructure.
The Solution Build Lead will report to the Design Authority (Principal Architect) and the Programme & Service Managers. The Solution Build Lead will be part of the Account Team and will liaise with the current SMEs for Infrastructure, Applications and Networking as required.
Critical Skills Required:
+ Develop deployment strategy for multiple Windows client and server builds
+ Design of automated client builds
+ Produce a fully automated 'lite touch' client builds using the Windows 10 deployment tools to install and configure Windows 10
+ Design and implement a vSphere infrastructure including automated provisioning of VMs
+ Design and implement a Delegation of Authority solution to restrict the administrator access as required
+ Design and implement a Microsoft Certificate Authority Solution
+ Develop Windows Server and Client firewall configurations
+ Integration of applications into the an automated 'lite touch' client deployment
+ Produce Group Policy Objects and PowerShell scripts to implement the above
+ Produce High Level design documentation for the above
+ Produce Low Level design documentation for the above
+ Produce transition plans
+ Supervise production of User Documentation
Mandatory Skills Required:
+ General Knowledge of Applications Deployment
+ Experience of operating within an Agile/Scrum environment
+ Systems and Software Engineering background including all aspects of the solution lifecycle
+ Can front and own a broad technical solution including design, costings and risks
+ Able to provide technical leadership and strategic direction
+ Experience of working with 3rd party suppliers
+ Strong client facing skills
Knowledge and experience of the take on and implementation of applications and any associated components
+ Knowledge and experience of Microsoft and Unix technologies
+ Knowledge and experience of Virtualisation technologies
+ Excellent communications skills, written and verbal presentation
+ Technical knowledge of IT systems, security policies and enforcement
+ Knowledge and experience of implementing solutions
+ Knowledge of End-User Applications implementation
Desirable Skills Required:
+ Knowledge and experience of supporting data communications systems
+ Knowledge of Command and Battlespace Management arena
+ Knowledge of Command and Control Applications
