Intro:

A leading, reputable provider of medical engineering services is seeking a Team Leader to oversee a team of 6 biomedical engineers, within the EBME department of a busy NHS hospital in Kent.

This is a great opportunity for to work for one of the most successful providers of medical engineering services in the UK.

Those with no formal management experience are welcome to apply - this opportunity is open to Senior or Lead Engineers who have deputised for their Team Leader or Manager.

Job outline:

As a EBME Team Leader, you would be required to manage a team of Biomedical Engineers providing daily on-site repair, preventative maintenance and asset management of medical devices.

Your duties will also include;

• Supporting the EBME/ Site Manager in achieving contract KPIs

• Ensuring all associated administrative work is completed

• Provide customer support when required

• Manage subcontractors as required

• Ensure safe working practices are maintained

Experience/skills required:

• Experience managing or leading a team of medical engineers (either in a manager/supervisor/team leader capacity or when deputising for a manager/team leader/supervisor)

• Prior experience as a EBME Engineer, Medical Engineer, Biomedical Engineer or Field Service Engineer, repairing low, medium or high risk medical devices. E.g. any of the following infusion devices, syringe drivers, defibrillators, ECG's, patient monitors, pulse oximeters, diathermy etc.

• Good communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
