Electrical Control & Instrumentation Engineer

A cutting-edge Aerospace & Defence organisation are recruiting an Electrical Control & Instrumentation Engineer. The EC&I Engineer will be responsible for all elements of functional safety including EC&I and delivery of actions to satisfy HSE requirements. You would be responsible for complex control systems and we welcome applications from candidates with a safety critical background.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities - Electrical Control & Instrumentation Engineer - EC&I

  • Responsible for delivery of functional safety package of works.

  • Responsible for leading all electrical controls and instrumentation works.

  • Responsible to deliver all actions required and ensuring all plant and equipment is at the required legislative standards.

  • Working closely with production engineering and procurement to ensure new plant is of required standard.

  • Responsible for ensuring new and old equipment used in explosive atmospheres are of the correct standards.

  • Assisting the Maintenance teams with Level 3 fault finding support as required

Qualifications and Experience - Electrical Control & Instrumentation Engineer - EC&I

  • Experience in the field of EC&I engineering, particularly managing the functional safety lifecycle.

  • Strong electrical design background with knowledge of instrumentation

  • Sound knowledge of EC&I engineering and design.

  • Strong knowledge of EC&I engineering and design, fundamental knowledge of the other disciplines (Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Process, Automation and Civil)
