Electrical Systems Technician (Contract)

Based in Littlehampton West Sussex

Up to £25.00 per hour 6 months (inside IR35)

My client and I are looking for a skilled Electrical Systems Technician to join their production team. My client is a specialist in protection solutions for the Automotive and Defence industry. They have an exciting new project coming into the business and they need an experienced Electrical Systems Technician to install their bespoke electrical systems, this includes some bench manufacture of individual looms and bench modification of electromechanical sub systems.

The Role - Electrical Systems Technician (Contract)

Hands on assembly work includes:

• Reading technical drawings and schematics
• Assembling Electrical looms
• Controlling stock of electrical consumables
• Manage BoM's
• Support continuous improvement activities
• Assist the electrical design team with design development of their products

Skills/Experience - Electrical Systems Technician (Contract)

• HNC/BTEC Qualified in Automotive systems installation and repair or similar
• Strong understanding of OEM Automotive vehicle systems
• Knowledge of military grade radios and electrical sub systems
• Understanding of the impact of electromagnetic influence on electrical subsystems and networks
• Experience with system design
• Computer literate
