Electronic & Electrical Engineering Manager

You will be working for a market leading company that manufactures smart city street furniture and electronic signage.

As an Electronic & Electrical Engineering Manager you will be working very closely with the senior management team and you will take on full responsibility for the design development and delivery of all Electrical and Electronic aspects of the business.

Job Description

  • Ensure you are keeping up to date with current and future display technologies

  • Value engineering, developing products at the outset evaluating quality vs cost and design for manufacture

  • After Sales Customer support providing rapid assessment and diagnostics of product faults and liaising with client on resolution.

  • Fully support Sales and Production with Technical solution, Cost inputs and full documentation package including BOM's, Build instructions and O&M manuals.

  • Manage prototype and trial builds.

  • Lead the Product Approval process, liaising with external Approval Authorities e.g. BSI, UL, CSA, CE ensuring all products meet legislative and customer specific requirements.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Degree is an Electronic / Electrical Engineering discipline

  • 10 years' experience within an industrial manufacturing business

  • Experience of the Production life cycle

  • Strong Electrical and Electronic design experience

  • Project Management experience

  • A good understanding of Quality Management Systems

  • Excellent root cause analysis methodology

Desirable Experience

  • Knowledge of sheet metal design and fabrication

  • Expertise in Electro-Mechanical systems for harsh environments

  • Heat exchange systems experience

  • 3D Modelling experience, including Autodesk Inventor and Vault
