Electronics Engineer

A world leading aerospace and defence client are looking for creative Electronics Engineers to join a multi-talented team at their site in Edinburgh.

Key Responsibilities -

+ Your electronics skills will be used across the full hardware lifecycle

+ Responsible for creating high quality and robust designs; for fully documenting and recording your work products; keeping them under configuration management, and providing plans and progress reports.

+ You will develop practical skills in design techniques for aerospace applications, understanding of key processes and technologies, and develop leading edge, multi-layer boards using the latest technologies available.

+ You will work closely with Systems, Mechanical and software engineers to solve real integration problems on complex systems

+ Depending on your level of experience, you may be required to supervise a small team of engineers and you will then be responsible for planning and managing the work for yourself and your team including coaching more junior team members and making sure there's a robust engineering solution for the team's work packages

Skills and knowledge required -

+ Ideally a 2:1, or better, in a relevant science-based honours degree in Electronics Engineering.

+ Experience of Hardware design of FPGA based designs

+ A methodical approach to the full hardware design lifecycle, working to a structured hardware process

+ Experience of de-bugging and testing new designs and supporting verification and integration
