Electronics Senior Programme Manager
Location: Denham, Buckinghamshire
Salary: £50,000 - £62,000pa
An organisation specialising in the manufacture and design of complex ejection seats within the aerospace and defence industry are seeking an experienced Electronics Senior Programme Manager to manage a number of complex safety critical electronic product projects.
Key Responsibilities - Electronics Senior Programme Manager
Define the project objectives, determine communication to internal resources and allocate tasks.
Identify requirements for company resources.
Prepare proposals.
Conduct and assist in contract negotiations.
Provide technical guidance and oversight to other disciplines within the project, including customers and suppliers.
Coordinate meetings and reviews.
Ensure product and programme adherence to legal and contractual obligations.
Provide and maintain the customer interface throughout the formal data transfer process.
Definition and management of programme hardware and assets and associated cost. Control of customer furnished equipment.
Manage internal and external relationships to ensure project deliverables are achieved.
Point of contact -provide the primary point of contact and liaison with the customer throughout the project life cycle.
Prepare / create the technical proposal definition, including necessary documents such as SOW. Generation of all labour hours, hardware requirements and project cost data.
Skills and Qualifications - Electronics Senior Programme Manager
Understanding of engineering disciplines (design/test/manufacturing).
Experience of managing aerospace electronic (DO-254 or equivalent) and embedded software (DO-178B or equivalent) design, development and certification projects.
Extensive experience of presentation design, development and delivery including customer facing.
Some experience of multi-faceted, externally facing negotiations.
Some experience in Risk Management techniques and their application
Relationship building/interpersonal skill set.
Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Equivalent.
Drive to achieve results - sets own standards, checks own work, and demonstrates a positive approach.
Analysis and problem solving - sees range of options, deciphers and reacts positively.
Working collaboratively - actively contributes to achieve organisational objectives.
