Engineering Manager - Electro-mechanical background

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced degree educated Engineering Manager with a background in Research and Development who will be responsible for the expertise of high value engineering projects. You will review and ensure cost effective engineering processes and systems to maximise efficiency and performance. You will manage engineering project costs, ensuring all new products are delivered and achieved on time. Working with R & D to identify and introduce new technologies to raise technical methods and standards for future strategy.

The role will require a versatile Engineering Manager with a strong man-management background to lead a multi-talented team whilst displaying a range of engineering disciplines. Working on complex products you will control all engineering resource within the project team during development whilst transitioning through into main factory prodcution.

You will benefit from working on cutting edge projects, with the ability to help shape the direction of a global business making a significant difference in this industry leader of capital equipment.

The Engineering Manager will be able to showcase:

Knowledge of a broad range of engineering disciplines - ideally with a strong Electronics knowledge
Flexibility to respond to changing business needs.
Willingness to travel with good presentation skills.
Demonstrated experience of successfully leading a multi-disciplinary engineering team
Strong project and people management skills
Technical degree (ideally electrical/electronic engineering) and preferred Chartered Engineer (CEng) status
