Facilities Technician

Role: Facilities Technician
Location: Horsham
Contract - Full time , 12 months
Rates: Hourly equivalent of £30,000pa


A rapidly expanding technology company are seeking a Facilities Technician to support their facilities team and complete tasks in a safe and timely manner across the site and travel to other local sites when requested. You will be required to support all business functions to support engineering and production activities to operate effectively

Key Accountabilities of Facilities Technician :

  • Carry out Business as Usual tasks

  • Carry out test and certification of electrical installations ( if competent )

  • Complete Daily plant checks

  • Complete Planned maintenance tasks

  • Support / complete Project installation works

  • Supervise contractors working on site when required

  • Complete , update work as specified within the Company Helpdesk system

  • Building maintenance ( ad-hoc repairs )

  • Facilities owned equipment maintenance

  • Day to day breakdown issues

  • Delivery of gas cylinders and administer stock levels . ( training to be provided )

  • Carry out installations to mechanical or electrical systems

  • Maintain housekeeping of all Facilities owned areas

  • Be flexible to provide out of hours support

Knowledge , Skills and Experience Required for Facilities Technician:

  • Electrical competence and / or Mechanical competence

  • Time served apprenticeship or similar

  • Computer literate

  • Clean driving licence

  • Excellent time management , reliable and dependable

  • Able to work with a wide range of personnel

  • Previous experience of working in a building / facility environment desirable
