FAS Application Specialist

  • Location: Hampshire ( Flexible Hybrid working)

  • Salary: £70,000 - £75,000 + £6,000 Car + 15% Bonus + 10% DV Bonus

  • Clearance Level: SC (Must hold or be eligible)

We are looking for a FAS Application Specialist whose role will primarily involve incident management on our clients' live system, on FAS App incidents that have been escalated from level 1/2 resources that are often remotely based environments.

Skill Requirement

  • Subject matter expert-level knowledge of virtual environments

  • Subject matter expert-level knowledge on the command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance FAS applications baseline across all Domains and logistics applications.

  • Knowledge of Tactical Data Links (TDL) interconnections in order to integrate TDL types of IP and serial feeds from sensors and radar using converting serial for the integration of SIGACT reporting tools and a wide range of multi-technological feed types

  • Knowledge and expertise in Instant Messaging (IM) areas including knowledge of building and supporting WAN Wide Instant Messaging Networks for the Joint World including Federation/S2S and Multi & Cross Domain Interoperability, Interoperability with BITS/TNG BHCHAT, SAMETIME, MIRCA and LOGFAS

  • Databases - MSSQL, ORACLE 11 and 12, PostgresSQL

  • NATO Messaging Formats / Tracking Data Types - XMPP, L11, 11B, L1, L16, JREAP©, NFFI, FFI, AIS, NVG, XML, KML, KMZ, HeATS & GrATS IRIDIUM Tracking, ADATP3 and OBDC

  • Mapping - WMS, The use of WMS and WFS within a C4ISR system, Geo

  • NATO FAS - NIRIS, MCCIS, ICS, TOPFAS, LOGFAS, JTS/FAST, DTT, ICC, JOCWATCH, SEW, OPENFIRE, SITAWARE, JCHAT, JEMM, TOMM, CBRN, i2 ANB, Nicclink, Igeosit, INTEL-FS, JOIIS, NITB, NCOP, AIMS, EXIS, HMART, SMACQ, OANT

  • An awareness of - Networking, S2S/C2S, US GCCS (J,A,M and IOS), BOWMAN BITS, TNG/TACNIP/JCSSA, TAIS, SIACCON, FISH, CSI also any other Application TDL, ID type etc.
