Field Service Engineer (Bed Inspections)

£27-28,000 + benefits

The Company

A leading manufacturer and supplier of medical equipment are seeking an experienced engineer to cover Bristol, Bath, Trowbridge, Salisbury and Chippenham areas, to carry out inspections on medical profiling beds.

The role

• Inspections of Harvest Healthcare's profiling beds.

• Actively promote and fulfil Harvest Healthcare's Bed Inspection offering.

• Work in close cooperation with the sales force so that potential sales opportunities and leads outside of your scope can be captured and managed internally.

• Responsible to maintain the company vehicle, its stock and tools as well as your company phone, tablet/laptop in good working order.

• Responsible for accurate timesheet reporting, correctly detailing job numbers, recording travel time, tagging and labelling equipment etc.

• Fill in work reports via iPad

• In future possibility to progress into a Service Engineer role, carrying out planned and preventative maintenance, LOLER inspections and repairs on the full Harvest Healthcare's range of products as well as on competitor's products covered by Harvest Healthcare's service contracts. This requires you to follow logical and systematic steps to test equipment and diagnose any potential or existing faults while working in a Safe and Cost-effective manner.

The package

• £27,000 - £28,000 basic (dependent on experience)

• Company van, phone, laptop, uniform, and tools

• 40 hour week door to door

• Healthcare benefits (life cover, healthcare dental etc.)

• 25 days holiday + bank

• Overnight stays will be compensated for + £25 per night supplement + expenses paid

What experience is required to apply?

• Electro-mechanical engineering or inspection experience

• Experience working in a medical or care home setting in any capacity

• Experience in a field based role

• Any experience with medical or patient beds is a bonus but NOT essential
