40 hour working week, no weekends

My client who is world leader in protection solutions within the Automotive/defence market are in need of a Field Service Engineer. This role will involve a lot of travel especially up to midlands and the surronding area's.

Key responsibilities as the Automotive Field Service Engineer - Weybridge

• Responsibility for the timely delivery of worldwide vehicle repairs, upgrades & warranty
• Minimising expenditure and enacting tasks in the most cost effective manner
• Liaise with customers and proactively build customer relationships
• Keeping the applicable Customer Service Advisor and the Technical Service Manager informed of progress, problems or challenges
• Logistical travel planning, including risk assessment and mitigation measures
• Provisioning and movement of spares & all necessary tools & equipment
• Remaining familiar with the design & configuration of new cleint products

Knowledge & Skills required - Automotive Field Service Engineer - Weybridge

• Can demonstrate complex diagnostics and repair experience on both automotive / auto electronic / control / bespoke to role systems
• Has an excellent computer literacy and is experienced in the use and operation of automotive diagnostic equipment
• Has the ability to react tactfully to difficult circumstances whilst maintaining composure
• Is able to build and maintain strong relationships with both staff and customers in addition to an enthusiasm to contribute to all areas of the company when required.
• Has the ability to work with several customers at one time while maintaining individual customer satisfaction

• Significant experience in diagnosis and repair of mechanical, electrical and body related faults, in particular the successful applicant must have a high level of electrical knowledge and experience, coupled with strong fault diagnostic capabilities
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft office tools
