Field Service Engineer - Medical Sterilisation
£25,000 - £35,000 (depending on industry experience)
A leading, reputable UK manufacturer of autoclaves and steam sterilisers is now recruiting for an additional Field Service Engineer to join their Sterilisation Engineering team, covering Birmingham to South Wales and on occasions into the South West.
Working within a clean-room environment at high-end client sites in the pharmaceutical, research and hospital sector, an electronic/electrically biased Service Engineer is required to undertake a diverse, multi-faceted role encompassing installations, validations, calibration, service and repairs of autoclaves and sterilisers.
This role is perfect for a Service Engineer with sterilisation experience, keen for a new challenge and more responsibility. Progression opportunities include heading up your own installation/validation projects or working abroad on equipment that has been sold globally.
Responsibilities - Field Service Engineer
Routine preventative maintenance, fault finding and repair on their range of autoclaves
Carry out validation and calibration in accordance to industry standards (UKAS17025)
Installation and commissioning tasks will also be required
Provide a high level of customer service remaining professional and courteous
Solve technical issues in a timely manner

Experience required - Field Service Engineer
Prior sterilisation service engineering experience would be beneficial otherwise an extensive background working on complex electro-mechanical equipment
Electrical aptitude - control systems including three phase/single phase, PLC's etc.
Hands-on fault finding and repair expertise
Able to interpret engineering diagrams
Qualification in an engineering discipline is desirable - mechanical, electrical or electronics
