£28,000- £32,900 (experience dependent) + £5,000 -10,000 overtime earning potential + company vehicle + training + salary progression

Field-based role covering Northern Ireland - ideally located in Belfast

A new and exciting opportunity is now available for an electro-mechanical (electrically-biased) Field Service Engineer, to join a market leading manufacturer of high value medical devices (medical endoscope washers), offering OEM product training, career progression and salary advancement.

The company - Field Service Engineer (Medical Endoscope Washers)

This Field Service Engineer role is within a well-respected manufacturer and international supplier of sophisticated medical endoscope washer disinfectors (also referred to as automated endoscope reprocessors -AERs) and drying and storage cabinets. These specialist devices are used in the chemical decontamination and sterilisation of medical endoscopes, and for the safe storage of clean endoscopes following decontamination. These washer disinfectors and storage cabinets are therefore absolutely vital in the prevention of cross contamination and to ensure the safe re-use of endoscopes.

What sets this organisation apart from their competitors, is the training and progression plan outlined for new engineers at from the outset. In addition to being sent overseas to Europe for training directly at the manufacturing site, within the first 18 months you will also be sent on numerous, company funded courses to become a qualified engineer within this field. Upon completion of each course you will also receive a consequential salary increase!

The role - Field Service Engineer (Medical Endoscope Washers)

Whilst covering a Northern Ireland territory, the successful electro-mechanical Service Engineer will travel to customer sites to install, service, repair and test these medical endoscope washers and drying/storage cabinets. Client examples include hospital and surgical wards, endoscopy suites, sterile services departments etc. The successful service engineer will need to be able to work well in a medical environment, build strong customer relationships and be able to work independently in the field whilst also working as part of a wider engineering team.

  • A salary of £28-32,900 is on offer (depending on experience)

  • Earning potential of £5,000 - 10,000/year is available via overtime (weekend working is optional)

Your background - Field Service Engineer (Medical Endoscope Washers)

In order to be successful in your application for this role, you will need;

  • An electro-mechanical service and repair background (electrically-biased)

  • An ONC/equivalent or above in an electrical/electronic engineering discipline (or related)

  • Field-based experience or willingness to travel and stay away as the role requires

  • Prior experience on similar decontamination equipment or medical field in general would be beneficial (but not essential)

  • Valid driving licence
