Field Service Engineer - Medical Systems

£30,000 - £40,000 + bonus, company car, private medical + MORE!

Territory - North West England

A leading manufacturer of specialist medical systems are seeking an experience electronics bias field service engineer to cover the North West of England.

You would be responsible for the installation, service, repair and maintenance of specialist medical equipment such as theatre tables, lights, medical pendants etc. Full training is provided for those engineers without any exposure to this type of equipment but have a strong electronics background.

Key accountabilities - Field Service Engineer - Medical Systems:

+ Provide outstanding customer service, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills in a profession manner

+ Service, repair and maintain a diverse range of specialist medical systems

+ Carry out routine testing of equipment to the relevant standards as stated in terms and conditions of the client's contract

+ Carry out predominantly electronic and electrical fault finding with some mechanical

+ Calibrate equipment as and when necessary

+ Maintain adequate stock levels of spare parts within guidelines.

+ Produce quality documentation for submission to the customer via approved systems.

+ Maintain regular communication with the internal Service Department.

+ Ensure the company equipment is being used and looked after correctly and that it is kept in a safe condition. To report all faulty equipment or equipment out of calibration to Service Supervisor.

+ Pass all sales leads to the Service/Sales Manager

+ Provide sales leads to Service/Sales Manager.

+ As and when required, produce written reports

+ Accurately submit completed expense claim forms, with supportive documentation, on time.

Experience/qualifications required - Field Service Engineer - Medical systems:

+ Qualification in Electronics - City & Guilds or equivalent

+ Electronics/electrical engineering bias

+ Worked on complex equipment ideally in the medical/laboratory industry - ex-military engineers (RAF, REME or Navy) is also highly desirable

+ Excellent communication skills

+ Able to manage own work load and be self-sufficient
