Territory - based from home covering UK wide

£55,000 - £60,000 + £6k car allowance

A global leading organisation specialising in providing biomedical engineering services to both the private and public sector are seeking an experienced UK Field Service Manager to manage a large team consisting of team & modality leaders.

As the Service Manager you will work with the UK Operations Manager in achieving contract KPI's, along with managing budgets, delivery of services, building and establishing customer relationships and develop and promote the company's business on sites.

This is a home based role with travel at least 1-2 times per week to customer sites, therefore you can be based from anywhere in the UK.

What will be expected:

  • Hands-on approach including assisting with on-site repairs, service and maintenance when required

  • Demonstrate initiative, a high-performance work ethic, time management proficiency and the ability to work under pressure, managing multiple outputs.

  • Act in a professional manner at all times, including manner of speech, writing, dress and personal appearance.

  • Lead, coach and train staff with an emphasis on developing an understanding of the alignment of local objectives, key initiative and company medium and long-term strategy.

  • Determine staffing requirements and work closely with HR to fulfil the requirements. Present business cases for any out of budget needs.

  • Supervise the workload of the team, allocating team members to optimize productivity

  • Set goals and objectives for subordinates and provide annual assessments and feedback

  • Ensure statistical information is produced, collated, and analysed on a regular basis to assist in evaluating the performance of the team

  • Comply with the company Quality Assurance and Environmental, Health & Safety policies, and work to maintain a high standard of customer service and protect your health and safety and that of your colleagues, our customers, and members of the public.

  • Promptly raise any concerns regarding potential violations of the policies

  • Actively seek opportunities to grow the business eview ways to improve productivity and reduce operating expenditure

  • Coordinate and attend regular customer meetings

  • Responsible for escalating and defining necessary resources to maintain

Experience required:

  • Extensive management experience and ideally worked within a Biomedical/Medical Engineering environment e.g., EBME Manager, Service Manager, Field Service Manager, Biomedical Engineering Manager etc.

  • Customer focused and confident and presenting

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills

  • Strong team management capabilities

  • Familiar with a broad range of medical/biomedical devices such as ECG's, ventilators, anaesthesia machines, syringe drivers, infusion pumps, patient monitors, diathermy etc.

Package/benefits:
