Graduate Data Analyst

An exciting opportunity to join a growing science and technology company!

We are recruiting an enthusiastic graduate who will be responsible for supporting the development, maintenance and improvement of Business Intelligence (BI) platforms; dashboards (both excel & Power BI) and Crystal Reporting.

  • Technical degree required - Maths / Science / Computer Science

  • SQL: Excel; Business Intelligence; Data analysis

MAIN DUTIES - Graduate Data Analyst

  • Maintain reporting solutions on BI platforms; (Power BI, Excel, and Crystal Reporting).

  • Support development of new and existing BI reporting functionality.

RESPONSIBILITIES - Graduate Data Analyst

  • Provide ongoing support of systems and technologies within reporting scope.

  • Acting as central point of contact for reporting and BI queries & requests.

  • Gather, understand and document detailed business reporting requirements using appropriate tools and techniques.

  • Create reports and dashboards requested by the business.

  • Manipulate, analyse and interpret complex data sets, draw valid inferences and determine key metrics.

  • Extract, transfer and load data correctly.

  • Design and deliver bespoke Management Information System (Mis) and dashboards using adequate tools (eg Power BI, SSIS, SSRS).

  • Support automation of reporting and dashboarding.

  • Support development & management of BI processes and policies.

  • Work closely with the IT & System team.

LEVEL OF QUALIFICATION - Graduate Data Analyst

Preferably Maths / Science / Computer Science degree or similar.


  • Computer literate - Microsoft office, Word, Excel (pivot tables, V-look ups), Power Point

  • Basic knowledge of SQL

  • Programming skills; write scripts and perform queries in SQL.

  • Demonstrate a strong attention to detail and an ability to work with & manage multiple data sources and data sets.

  • Demonstrate analytical, problem solving skills.

  • Demonstrate ability to prioritise and organise own work

  • Great communication skills - both verbally and written

  • Maintain a 'team' focus and a flexible and positive attitude

  • Work independently and collaboratively with rest of the IT & System team and the wider business.
