Graduate Engineer - Technical Services

A world leader in the development, manufacture and supply of Radar and Navigation systems are seeking a Graduate Engineer for their Technical Services department.

This is a unique opportunity to be involved with both technical operations and customer interaction.

You will work closely with the Customer Team and will be expected to provide a lead role in the provision of technical support for customers.

There will also be a link to the Engineering design team for products to ensure previous 'lessons learnt' are captured and incorporated during the design process

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with the engineering design teams providing technical feedback from the field to influence design improvements throughout a product life cycle

  • Work closely with Customer Technical Support, responding to technical advice e- mails in a timely fashion and when required the writing of Technical Advise Sheets

  • To monitor and provide monthly reports on field failure reasons and rates

  • Liaise with the Quality team over customer complaints to assist in the provision of a technical solution.

  • Gain a system knowledge of the range of equipment such that system dependencies and potential fault conditions are understood to assist in fault finding and diagnostics

  • As required, complete investigations into reported radar performance issues. This will require a development of an increased understanding of Radar performance modelling theory and practices.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate in Engineering or Computer Science Based Discipline

  • Sound knowledge of networking and associated hierarchy

  • Sound knowledge of computers including hardware and software with the ability to use various software packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Full clean driving licence

  • Valid passport
