We design and manufacture high power electronic and microwave systems to operate reliably in the harshest environments. This role is key to our competency and capability to design and build reliable product solutions to address its market and maintain growth.
This is a key strong leadership role providing:
Vision and focus with full accountability of development process and New Product Introduction,
Control of cost and profit margin for all programmes across its product portfolio
This role is expected to enhance and improve our Programme Management capability and support Sales team in driving new business opportunity through development and into manufacture.
The Head of programmes is responsible for:
Overseeing Implementation, management, supervision and evaluation of customer and internal development programmes, in accordance with specifications, standards and internal governance procedures from concept, through bid proposal, contract acceptance and contract execution.
Maintaining positive cashflow within programmes, expected profit margins and maintain spend within budgets
Leading multi- disciplined teams, through initiation, planning, design and delivery execution to agreed gate level of New Product Introduction process
Lead directorate team to support the sales function with bid activity, and help drive process improvement across the business in line with best practices
As a member of the senior management team, the Head of programs participates in strategic planning and budgeting initiatives in addition to problem solving.
Key Accountabilities:
Delivery of KPI metrics for Programmes
Improve and drive risk management and mitigation process to reduce company risk
Ensuring the accreditation, retention and adherence to relevant standards (e.g. ISO 9001, CE Marking) on behalf of the Company in conjunction with engineering project team
Oversee the preparation, review and approval of NPI gate reviews
Delivering directorate contribution to Bid Proposals on time
Deliver professional customer relationship management
Deliver profit to budget or exceed
