Health and Safety Officer (Part time)

Location: Croydon Surrey

£30,000 - £45,000 + Excellent benefits (Pro rata)

20-24hours a week

A world leader in manufacturing/designing angling and measurement instrumentation for sensors within the Aerospace, Automotive, medical and defence industries are looking for a Health and Safety officer. The role will be to operate independently as the companies Health and Safety expert to ensure the site is complying with all the health and safety regulations/legislations.

The Role - Health and Safety Officer - Surrey

• Assist in development and implementation of the health and safety strategy
• Write and maintain all policies and procedures in compliance with the health and safety regulations
• Provide advice and training to staff
• Carry out inspections and manage incidents
• Write and manager risk assessments
• Stay up to date with relevant health and safety legislation
• Develop and implement health and safety programs, training and action plans
• Facilitate and manage PPE requirements
• Oversee electrical safety testing
• Ensure company is in compliance with fire legislation

Experience/Skills required - Health and Safety Officer- Surrey

• Experience in a similar role in a engineering or manufacturing environment
• 2+ years of industry experience
• Fully qualified NEBOSH certificate and NEBOSH fire certificate
• Member of IOSH
• Strong experience in writing policies and procedures
• Knowledge of root cause analysis
• Up to date knowledge of Health and Safety and fire safety legislation
