HGV Mechanic

Contract - 3-6 months

£18 - £28 p/h depending on experience

A workshop based mechanic with Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) or Public Service Vehicle (PSV) experience is required for a busy council workshop in Wandsworth.

The role will be Monday - Friday (7.30 - 16.30) with a 1 hour lunch break.

Details of the contract - HGV Mechanic - HGV/PSV (requirements/overview of role):

• Ideally clean driving licence with Category C (HGV entitlement)

• The role will involve maintenance and repairs on cars/vans/HGV

• Engineer/Vechicle Mechanic will need to be familiar with carrying routine Safety Inspections on HGV in line with DVSA standards

• Preparing HGVs for annual MOT

• Knowledge on both petrol and diesel engines would be an advantage

• Engineer will need to be able to complete detailed maintenance inspection report in line with DVSA regulations

• The ability to use engine diagnostic equipment is an advantage

• Class 4 and 7 MOT qualification not essential however this would be an advantage
