• Role Type: Permanent

• £45,000 - £55,000

• Security Clearance: Must be eligible for SC & DV

• Full Time on Site - North Yorkshire ( Scarborough)

What you will be doing:

• In depth technical support of a Windows desktop solution, including troubleshooting and problem/defect root cause analysis seeing through to full resolution

• Management of virtual desktop infrastructures hosted within Citrix XenDesktop

• Test and Release Windows desktop security patches

• Creation and maintenance of Windows desktop automated builds (MDT & SCCM)

• Maintenance of AD Group Policies applicable to the desktop estate

• Work in a disciplined and structured manner in accordance with ITIL based service management processes

• Use proactive monitoring methods/tools to identify problem prevention and continual improvement opportunities

• Handle customer problems promptly; escalate issues according to established procedures

• Be agreeable to participating in a 24x7 call-out rota and working some evenings and weekends if necessary

• Develop and maintain customer and third-party relationships

What you'll bring:

• Understanding of patch management with the ability to deploy patches

• Experience in MS Exchange, VMWare, Citrix VDI, Remote access \ VPNs, Windows Server 2019/22 (AD \ GPO \ PowerShell) and Windows10

• Understanding of computer networks

• Understanding of firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus, and IDPS concepts

• Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities and explain how to avoid them

• ITIL V4

• Eligible for DV

It would be great if you had:

• CCA-V / CCA-P

• Experience of supporting & upgrading Windows 10 Operating Systems

• Experience of supporting App-V packages and Full App-V Infrastructure

• Software packaging and deployment experience. Experience with MS MECM would be an advantage

• UE-V Administration

• Experience of working on a customer site

• Leadership experience to deputise for Team Leader

• Accreditation to MCP level or equivalent

• Experience of Agile delivery methods

• Awareness of information security methods
