Integration Engineer

Integration Engineer - SC NPPV3 Cleared - Remote (Reading) - £630 a day

You will join a global IT consultancy who are delivering digital transformation to a public sector body, part of a wider team supporting and developing significant functional changes to a complex secure national policing system.

The role is based in Reading for initial knowledge transfer but then would be totally remote.

You will be responsible for:
Proof of Concept: installation, investigation, configuration and production of design notes
Installation, Configuration, and Integration of COTS components to implement a new authentication element of the overall application (an outline design has been produced)
Working under the direction of a team leader in accordance with defined project processes and procedures

Essential Skills:
Exposure to Unix (the target is RHEL but any flavour of Unix or Linux is acceptable); the legacy systems are Solaris
Experience of deploying products onto enterprise systems.

Desirable Skills:
Previous use of source control with Git & GitLab.
Exposure to Micro Service Architecture
Experience with development of REST APIs
Experience of working with COTS software such as Red Hat SSO, OpenLDAP, Nginx Plus
Familiarity with the SAML and OIDC authentication protocols
Awareness of designing and building secure solutions.
