IT Project Manager

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced IT Project Manager to join a global brand that is investing heavily in their technology sector. You will be working for a forward thinking organisation who boast record profits for the past 5 years as they continue to grow their IT department with a healthy budget set aside for projects.

As their IT Project Manager you will be responsible for the delivery of approved IT BAU or Business Change projects, using the standardised PM method. Responsible for planning, building and implementing the change on time/to budget meeting necessary quality & scope by working closely with the Business, across the IT team and vendor contact. Critical to ensuring a successful outcome will be engaging the business to take ownership to ensure all benefits of the change are realised and that there is a ROI

You will be accountable for:

+ Analysing the end to end process

+ Project scoping and planning - define and develop business case specification and plans

+ Project delivery and control - manage project delivery on time, on budget and on scope

+ Project closedown and review - projects reviewed against timescales, budget, benefits and scope

+ Relationship management - internal, external and stakeholder relations

+ Programme office / central management - portfolio management and quality review processes.

The skills needed to succeed will include:

+ 4+ years of IT project management experience across a variety of different application and infrastructure projects

+ Formal project management qualification (Prince 2 or equivalent is desirable)

+ Ability to manage multiple (usually 2-5) projects

+ Experience of managing at least 2 project lifecycles from start to finish

+ Some experience of involvement in business analysis, testing and training

+ Excellent Vendor Management skills
