IT Support Technician- Traceability Software

An organisation specialising in creating traceability software for sterile services, used to track medical instruments are seeking an experienced IT Support Technician to provide 1st & 2nd line support with the opportunity to gain 3rd.

Key accountabilities:

  • Installation, configuration and maintenance both on-site and/or remote depending on solution

  • Provide IT support and help to customers solving any issues and answering questions related to their integrated workflow solution

  • Offer support using the telephone, email, support ticketing system, remote tools and on-site customer visits

  • Ensure a high level of customer focus and satisfaction by responding to cases quickly and efficiently and in line with standards

  • Trouble shoot and where possible reproduce ussie to identify/propose solutions on software, hardware and operational issues

  • Develop and maintain an understanding of business, products and technologies

Experience/skills required:

  • Strong communication both verbal and written

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio and CRM applications

  • Windows operating systems/server expertise

  • Previously worked in a similar role

  • Ideally SQL experience but this is not essential

  • Must be flexible to travel across the UK around 25% of the time with the rest being office based in Bristol


  • Basic salary of £18,000 - £22,000 per annum

  • £5,000 car allowance

  • On-call earnings (1 in 5, 24/7)

  • Estimated earnings of £28,000 - £32,000 per annum

  • Mileage paid when travelling to customer sites
