A Lead Quality Inspector is required to join an engineering led manufacturer of composite products, assemblies and systems for a range of industry sectors.
Role: Lead Quality Inspector
As Lead Quality Inspector you will have be responsible for:
+ Lead and manage a small team of inspectors and metrology technicians.
+ Inspection of bought out finished items and in house manufactured components.
+ Interpretation of engineering drawings to generate inspection programs on CMM machines, Romer arm etc.
+ Ensuring metrology equipment is calibrated.
+ Compilation of inspection reports.
As Lead Quality Engineer you will have experience of:
+ Ability to operate and program various coordinate measuring machines (CMM) and Romer arm.
+ Proven ability to read and write CMM programs from CAD data.
+ Working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing).
+ Experience in using Metrology equipment such as:
+ Internal and external micrometers
+ Bore gauges
+ Thread gauges
+ Slip gauges
+ Shadow graph
+ Electronic surface finish equipment.
+ An understanding of the use of hardness test equipment.
+ The ability to train other team members in the use of metrology equipment.
+ Knowledge of PC-DMIS CAD++ Software desirable.
+ Good people manager with the ability to lead a small team.
+ Good PC skills including the use of Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook etc.
+ Good team work and communication skills.
